The United States and Canada are getting absolutely hammered by winter storms, from bitterly cold temperatures to driving snowfall, even in places unaccustomed to either. The timing for as much, while predictable because it’s January, couldn’t be worse for WWE because they have significant travel upcoming for one of its biggest shows of the year.
To that end, there are already issues impacting the company.
PW Insider is reporting due to so many flight cancellations, many talent who are needed for Monday
Night Raw this week in Toronto are getting there in vans WWE has rented for that express purpose. Other talents had travel re-booked to get in early. As for the rest of the roster who are scheduled to fly to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for Royal Rumble next week, they are simply stranded for a couple of days or heading to Toronto for Raw before leaving in a couple more days for the big event.
Alicia Taylor, the ring announcer for the red brand, posted to her Instagram stories that she will not be making it to Raw this week and Lilian Garcia, who worked the Saturday Night’s Main Event show, will be tagging in for her.
Here’s to hoping all goes smooth and everyone stays safe while trying to get to their destinations.
