Well, 5-5 is technically better than 4-6, so I’ll take it. A late score in the Illinois game hooked a winning week, and a fourth quarter Tennessee defensive flop busted that number, but hey, baby steps.
Time for a winner starting tomorrow.
As usual, I’m using the lines over at the FanDuel Sportsbook.

And now, on with this week’s picks…
Louisville at MIAMI -13.5
Alright, I’m finally starting to buy into this Miami team has it. Not sure if I should be, as they only play about 45-50 minutes a game of high intensity, but those 45-50 minutes are of the highest quality. So, I’ll take Rueben Bain, Jr. and the Canes burying Louisville and their offensive line that has been dreadful in pass protection.
Ole Miss at GEORGIA -7.5
Ole Miss confuses me at times. Sometimes they look elite, and then they have close calls against Arkansas and Washington State at home. Very odd team. Lane’s Ole Miss teams have stunk in this spot on the road, and I’ll go with Georgia to cover 7.5 here at home.
TEXAS A&M -7.5 at Arkansas
The Hogs are terrible, particularly on defense, and A&M has looked like a true playoff contender this season. This line baffles me, should be about at least a touchdown higher. Give me the Aggies easily here.
OHIO STATE -25.5 at Wisconsin
This line could be 40, and I wouldn’t hesitate to take the Buckeyes. An absolute blowout in Madison.
USC +9.5 at Notre Dame
I am a little bit surprised this line is pushing double digits. The Trojans are a defensive stop at Illinois away from being undefeated. This rivalry game comes down to the wire. Not sure who wins, so I’ll take So Cal and the points.
Tennessee at ALABAMA -8.5
I want to believe that Tennessee can do this, and I think they have the offense to do it. But the Vols’ defense has been severely hampered by the loss of both of their starting cornerbacks. Tennessee gets to the 30s, but Alabama reaches the 40s. And that’s why…..
Tennessee at Alabama; OVER 58.5
I think this game gets well over the total here.
Georgia Tech at DUKE -1.5
Vegas knows something and is trying to tell me it. I ignored them before with Cincinnati vs. Iowa State. I will listen to them on Saturday.
North Carolina at CALIFORNIA -9.5
This UNC team is as bad as any Power Four team in the country right now. I can’t imagine it gets any better across the country. The Bears win handily.
SMU at CLEMSON -5.5
The Tigers are awake again and rolling over teams they should. They take care of business at home over the Ponies.
