Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has his fair share of fans, as well as his fair share of detractors. His 2025 season for the Dolphins has been an up-and-down campaign, but there’s one area where
Miami’s left-handed signal-caller earns the highest of praise — and that’s for his efforts in the community.
On Tuesday, Tagovailoa and his wife Annah visited patients at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida on behalf of the quarterback’s Tua Foundation — an organization dedicated to youth initiatives and other charitable causes.
In a post made to the hospital’s Instagram page (@JDCHospital), the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital thanked Tua and Annah Tagovailoa for sharing “the warmth of the aloha spirit with [their] patients and families” ahead of Thanksgiving, noting that many children in the facility will be spending the holiday away from “home and holiday traditions.”
In one slide, the Dolphins quarterback can be seen playing the guitar while a young patient named Maliyah sang “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran alongside Tagovailoa.
The post also noted that the Tua Foundation packed and provided “dozens of caregiver kits and Thanksgiving meals for families” staying in the hospital during the holiday season.
While the 27-year-old remains a polarizing figure in the eyes of many for his play on the field, it’s safe to assume we can all agree that Tagovailoa seems like a stand-up guy for his generous off-field charitable contributions within the South Florida community.
