Scott Coker is ready to strike with his new MMA promotion.
The former Strikeforce head and Bellator president recently revealed that he was pulling a number of his old co-workers in on a new combat sports promotion. Backed with over $60 million in financing, Coker hinted at a worldwide organization that would hold several major events per year.
Now the wait on details is coming to an end. On Monday, September 14th at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT, Coker will host a livestream on YouTube to launch the promotion
with the public.
“Join Scott Coker, Peter Levin, and Rich Chou for the livestream of their exclusive brand launch event and first look at their vision for the future of mixed martial arts,” the promo material for the stream read.
Since news broke of the impending launch, Coker and his longtime matchmaker Chou have been traveling the world looking for the next generation of potential MMA stars. If there’s an ace up Coker’s sleeve (other than his track record of running events and not losing money), it’s his ability to find diamonds in the rough and developing them into stars.
After years of UFC sucking up all the oxygen in the MMA space, 2027 is looking very interesting. The PFL has merged with Jake Paul’s MVP, and we’ll see if that corporate move helps them gain more traction in the space. And now we have Scott Coker’s comeback with a new promotion as well.
