The Indianapolis Colts are in free-fall and the last place they can afford to play is the next place on their schedule. This season isn’t going to plan as the Colts find themselves at 2-5. If anything good is going to happen this year, it has to start in Jacksonville. FanDuel Sportsbook has doubts. The Colts are currently heavy underdogs at +7.5 points.
The money line is +330 while the over/under comes in at 46.5.
This is the kind of loss that stays with you for a bit because the Colts had chances
to win. Going to Minnesota and playing that defense was always going to be tough. Going up seven early was the best recipe as the running game produced for most of the afternoon. The defense hung tough and kept the Colts in the game. Two misses from the reliable Spencer Shrader hang heavy over this one as the Colts dropped another opportunity.
This is the second week in a row that the Colts are catching a team coming off their bye. The Jaguars lost to the Texans at home last week in a back and forth affair. Trevor Lawrence topped 300 yards and put four touchdowns on the board, but it wasn’t enough. After tying the game late in the fourth, the Texans marched down the field and kicked the game-winner. Jacksonville has two weeks to think about that and will look to take it out on the Colts.
It’s do or die for the Colts. Another loss could trigger a fire sale and mark the end of the season, halfway through the year. The Jaguars are looking to further create distance in the division and start to pull away. The last place the Colts want to play is somewhere they must walk away with a win. It’s going to take everything they have.
