Marcus Rashford was on target again for Barcelona on Saturday, scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo as Hansi Flick’s side moved 11 points clear at the top of the table.
And his latest strike appears to have brought a fresh round of speculation about his future as he heads towards the end of his loan at Camp Nou.
Reporter Matteo Moretto has provided an update and says “Marcus Rashford’s future at Barcelona is not yet 100% decided.” The club are said to be still evaluating their options,
while it’s noted that “Hansi Flick will have some weight in the final decision.”
Rashford’s future is also the topic of an update in Mundo Deportivo. The daily sports papers reports that Rashford “wants to stay and believes he is doing enough to deserve a continuation.”
MD even go as far as to say “the player is confident he will stay at Barça” and that the Manchester United man is willing to take a pay cut and wants his situation resolved before the World Cup.
Rashford has posted impressive numbers this season but the numbers required to keep him at the club are one of the main reasons why doubts have appeared over his continuity.
Flick’s decision to use him sparingly recently – he hasn’t started any of Barça’s last four matches despite Raphinha being out injured – have also raised further question marks about his future with the Catalans past the end of the season.
