The TCU Horned Frogs will have an important piece of their offensive line back for the 2026 season. CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz stated that offensive lineman Cade Bennett, a sixth-year player in his
second season with the Horned Frogs, will receive a waiver from the NCAA and return to TCU next season. Bennett, who missed all of the 2024 season to an injury, played in 10 games during the 2025 campaign, earning the bulk of his time at left guard. Bennett started his career in 2020 and will be playing his seventh season of college football next year.
A two-time All-Conference honoree in the Mountain West, Bennett transferred to TCU after two years at San Diego State, where he earned Second Team recognition over two straight years. Bennett started his collegiate career at Oklahoma State, signing with the Cowboys as a three-star high school prospect. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder from Scottsdale, Arizona earned both a COVID season and a redshirt season at Oklahoma State before transferring to San Diego State. Bennett, along with incoming transfer Noah McKinney, will be counted on to anchor an offensive line that could be losing pieces like Coltin Deery, Remington Strickland and Carson Bruno.
