Before Bayern Munich drew Atalanta in the Champions League, head coach Vincent Kompany was asked who he might prefer to face — Atalanta or Bundesliga foe Bayer Leverkusen.
Kompany, of course, used all of his evasive maneuvers to avoid giving an answer to that question.
“I’m the worst person to ask this type of question. I absolutely do not care. We’ll go full attack whatever it is. This goes for this round and hopefully the rounds after. I’ve always been like this. I only care about Dortmund right
now,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It would have been wild if Kompany actually did reveal his true feelings, so this response was pretty much as expected. However, one of the journalists at Bayern Munich press conference ahead of the Borussia Dortmund match had to ask the question — even knowing that it would not be answered.
Now, if we could only get someone to ask if Joshua Kimmich is still dealing with that ankle issue from November, we would be doing great.
