One final goodbye.
Court McGee officially closed the book on his mixed martial arts career following his third-round technical knockout loss to Eric Nolan at UFC 332 this past weekend (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
McGee announced his retirement inside the Octagon immediately after the defeat, ending a 16-year UFC run in his home state. The 41-year-old veteran finished his professional career with a 22-15 record after making 29 appearances between The Ultimate Fighter
house and the Octagon.
Two days after taking off his gloves, “The Crusher” issued one final statement reflecting on the wins, losses, and people he lost along the way.
“Saturday night was my last fight in the UFC.
16 years. 29 fights, including my time in the Ultimate Fighter house. One hell of a journey.
I didn’t get my hand raised, but I’m incredibly proud of my performance, proud of my opponent, and genuinely happy for him.
For the first time, I was able to slow down and truly experience it all—the weeks leading up to the fight, fight week, the walk to the Octagon, and everyone who’s been beside me through the highs and lows. Including the 13 coaches and training partners we’ve lost. RIP.
I gave this sport everything I had. Sometimes my best was great. Sometimes it was just okay. Saturday night, I was okay—and okay is good enough for me.
I’m grateful for the wins, the losses, the lessons, the people, and every damn moment in between.
What a journey. Thank you.”
McGee will be remembered for much more than his UFC wins. The Ultimate Fighter 11 winner spent years openly discussing his battle with addiction and using his platform to help others struggling with substance abuse — which ultimately is much more important than cage fighting.
His final fight didn’t end with his hand raised, but McGee walked away on his terms, in front of his hometown crowd and completely at peace with the result.
Enjoy life after fighting, “Crusher.”
