Wan’Dale Robinson delivered the best game of his young NFL career Sunday, catching eight of 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown in the New York Giants’ 40-37 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The fourth-year receiver shattered his previous career high of 100 yards, set as a rookie in 2022, while continuing his hot start to the 2025 campaign. Through two weeks, Robinson has caught 14 receptions for 197 yards and a score, which is making him a reliable option in the Giants’ passing attack.
Robinson’s
breakout performance came in a back-and-forth showdown where Dallas quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 450 yards. Despite the loss, Robinson proved how valuable a receiver he is by being able to keep drives alive and creating mismatches in space. His 11-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter helped the Giants stay within striking distance until the closing moments of overtime.
For Kentucky fans, Robinson’s emergence at the next level is no surprise. The Frankfort, Kentucky native starred during his lone season in Lexington in 2021 after transferring from Nebraska. He rewrote the Wildcats’ record books, setting single-season marks with 104 receptions and 1,334 receiving yards while scoring seven touchdowns. His 170-yard performance in the Citrus Bowl powered Kentucky past Iowa for a 10-3 finish and earned him game MVP honors.
Now, the versatile playmaker is showing that same explosiveness on Sundays. If the Giants continue to find themselves in high-scoring battles, Robinson could be in for many more career days this season.
