In a new interview out of a car trunk with Chrissy Chaos, 43-year-old WWE star Damian Priest was asked if he will wrestle into his 50’s, and if he has a plan for retiring from the squared circle. The former world champion said he doesn’t have a retirement age in mind, before revealing a retirement age that he has in mind.
“I don’t have a number. I don’t have a time, but I know that I’m gonna listen to my body. And I’ve already, I can tell, it is just natural that you’re gonna start slowing down. So
I don’t know how much time I have left, but I don’t plan on leaving any time soon. But at the same time, no, into my 50’s? Definitely not. Before 50 I would be done.”
Priest will turn 44 years old in September. If Damian is true to his word, that means he has a little more than six years left in the business, at a maximum. What else do you think the current WWE tag team champion can accomplish during the time he has left?
Let me know if you think more WWE and AEW wrestlers should adopt Damian Priest’s ‘Done by 50 years old’ retirement plan, Cagesiders.
