After two primetime games to begin the 2026 season, the (2-0) Kansas City Chiefs will play in the noon slate in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins. The first road trip of the season takes the Chiefs to South Florida to take on the winless Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. The weather is expected to be sunny and very warm.
The last time these two teams played was a memorable matchup, but not for the game itself: in the 2023 season’s playoffs, Kansas City hosted Miami in the Wild Card round for the coldest
game in Arrowhead Stadium history. The wind chill dropped to 27 degrees below zero at times that evening. The frozen Dolphins were easily handled, 26-7.
It’s a completely different Miami team this time around. Whether it’s first-year head coach Jeff Hafley, quarterback Malik Willis or a rookie-filled defense, the Dolphins have a brand-new look, and this is their first chance to impress the home crowd in the new era.
We’ll see if their home-field heat advantage can flip the script and trip up the Chiefs.
