After last week’s bounce-back win over Central Michigan, the Michigan Wolverines (2-1) will try to carry that momentum into a matchup that could shape the remaining course of their season. Nebraska (3-0), meanwhile, is looking to snap a painful nine-year drought without a win over a ranked opponent.
The Huskers boast one of the nation’s top defenses and are off to their best start since 2016, while Michigan is coming off its most impressive offensive showing of the season after putting 63 points on the board
against the Chippewas at the Big House. Both Michigan and Nebraska will undoubtedly view this as an opportunity to make a statement early in the season.

Today’s question: Can Underwood handle Nebraska’s defense in his first Big Ten road start?
Underwood flashed his dual-threat ability last week, throwing for 235 yards and rushing for 114 more with three total touchdowns. But Nebraska’s secondary is a different animal, with the Huskers ranking first nationally in pass defense by surrendering just 66 yards per game. Michigan’s offensive line will need to create running lanes for Justice Haynes and Jordan Marshall, while also providing Underwood enough time to make his reads and stay composed.
On the other side, the Wolverines’ defense will be tested by sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola, who has completed nearly 77 percent of his passes so far this season. Jaishawn Barham and the front seven will look to rattle Raiola and force Nebraska into mistakes.
The question is simple: can Michigan’s young quarterback step up in a hostile environment and deliver, or will Nebraska finally earn that elusive Top-25 win it has been seeking since 2016?
