The Buffalo Bills are set to kick off their 67th season since original owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. founded the then-AFL team on October 28, 1959. This will be Bills’ 57th season in the NFL, and the franchise is still chasing its first Super Bowl Championship and Lombardi Trophy.
To have a shot at Super Bowl glory at the end of the 2026 NFL season, quarterback Josh Allen and the new-look Bills will have to overcome a challenging schedule that features a grueling five-game stretch beginning on Thanksgiving
night against the Kansas City Chiefs, before back-to-back road games against the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers (SNF), followed by another primetime game against the Chicago Bears, then a trip out west for a Christmas Night game at the Denver Broncos.
Buffalo will have to leverage its early season home slate, which finds the team playing three consecutive home games from Weeks 2 through 4. The Bills must take control of the AFC, with seven games against conference foes before their matchup on Thanksgiving against the Chiefs. With all five of their NFC matchups taking place in primetime, and five of their last seven games against AFC opponents, Buffalo is certain to be battled-tested if playoff bound.
Despite a new, first-time head coach in Joe Brady (former Bills offensive coordinator), and a new, first-time NFL defensive coordinator in Jim Leonhard (former Bills safety), oddsmakers are bullish on Buffalo in 2026. FanDuel Sportsbook has set the Bills’ over/under regular-season win total at 10.5, which puts Buffalo among the top contenders entering the regular season.
