Bayern Munich’s most recent step toward making Säbener Straße a fortress is now fully complete per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia).
The club’s new privacy screens at the training ground have been finished, giving head coach Vincent Kompany an added layer of protection when he wants to conduct closed-door sessions — far from the eyes of reporters from Bild, Sky Germany, Sport1, Tz, Abendzeitung, Kicker, and other outlets.
For a manager who places significant emphasis on tactical preparation, this could prove
invaluable. Closed training sessions are typically where coaches refine formations, set pieces, pressing triggers, specific movements, and potential lineup decisions that they prefer to keep hidden from opponents before matchday.
Previously, outsiders could occasionally get a glimpse of what was happening during these sessions. The newly completed screens should significantly reduce that risk, allowing Kompany to carry out his most sensitive tactical work without worrying about unwanted observers.
While it may not be the most glamorous development at Säbener Straße, these small details can make a meaningful difference at the highest level. Competing on multiple fronts, Bayern can benefit from even a minor edge in preparation.
The added privacy also gives Kompany more freedom to experiment. Whether testing a new system, making defensive adjustments, or tailoring a specific tactical plan for an upcoming opponent, the Belgian coach can now do so with complete discretion.
Säbener Straße just got a little more secretive.
Where is the “Bild Mole” when you need him, anyway? (Maybe here)
