Jon Jones is one of the greatest UFC fighters of all-time, but that didn’t translate onto the gridiron ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Jones took part in the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge on Thursday nigh at UC Berkeley’s Memorial Stadium, joining up with a team captained by rapper Quavo. Their team faced Team Dwight, captained by eight-time NBA all-star Dwight Howard.
Team Quavo’s team got the victory, but Howard got one over on Jones in the game. With Jones on defense, Howard hit a stutter
step that crossed Jones up badly, before running by him to catch an easy touchdown pass, running it in with nearly 10 yards of breathing room.

Jones recently stated he’s dealing with arthritis in his hip, and it appears there may be truth to that as the former two-division champion was running like he was dealing with some sort of injury.
Another MMA highlight for the game included former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson having a pre-game moment with influencer AGENT. As most influencer vs. fighter battles go, AGENT found himself in a multiple tough spots.
Check out their exchange below.
The final score saw Team Quavo defeat Team Dwight 82-67 in a defensive juggernaut, which honored first responders and military members. UFC interim champ Justin Gaethje and former two-division champ Henry Cejudo also participated in the game.
