The Denver Broncos signed former Missouri defensive tackle Kristian Williams as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft. He will enter his second season with the team as a development-type player making this offseason a pretty important one for the young lineman.
Denver having a loaded defensive front last season, which was always going to be a barrier for an undrafted rookie in that room. Williams competed in training camp but was waived in August. The team signed him to a futures contract
after the season.

Kristian Williams’ 2026 outlook with the Broncos
With a second chance, Williams will need to stay healthy and show some pop in training camp. I do not think he’ll make the final 53-man roster, but if he shows enough growth in his craft he could earn a shot to land on the team’s practice squad. A guy like Williams would absolutely benefit from a season learning from some of the best in the business.
Coming out of college, he was viewed as more of a run stopping interior defensive lineman. He’ll need to add some pass rush ability if he wants to break through to the next level in the NFL.
Final Thoughts
Despite losing John Franklin-Myers, the Broncos defensive front is still loaded with talent — especially up and coming young talent. That firmly puts Kristian Williams on the outside looking in. He will need to compete his butt off and fight for one of those coveted practice squad slots.
