The San Francisco 49ers announced they have released linebacker Milo Eifler on Monday afternoon after signing linebacker Larry Worth to a 3-year deal.
Worth spent his collegiate career at Jacksonville State and Arkansas, where he started 21 times across 47 games. In 2025, Worth started 11 games and had 64 tackles. Worth led all Razorbacks at Arkansas’s Pro Day with a 37.5″ vertical jump. He also had a broad jump of 11-foot-2 inches, which would have tied first-round pick Sonny Styles for the furthest
jump at the NFL Combine. He ran a 4.66 40-yard dash at 226 pounds.
With the Razobacks, Worth entered his senior year as a defensive back. During fall camp, Worth was playing the “Hog” position as well as boundary safety. Both of those are more hybrid-type positions than a true linebacker or safety. In 2024, Worth played both linebacker and safety.
According to PFF’s data, Worth played 622 snaps last season with the Razorbacks. Of those, 290 came at free safety, while another 218 came in the box. He played 85 snaps in the slot and another 24 lined up along the defensive line. It sounds like he’s more of a linebacker convert.
