What is the story about?
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry, per Ian Rapoport.
Lowry was with the Steelers in 2024 and 2025, but tore his ACL in training camp last summer, causing him to miss the entire 2025 season. He appeared in 12 games with Pittsburgh in 2024 after a one-year stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2023.
There is connective tissue with Lowry and Mike McCarthy, as the Steelers’ head coach drafted Lowry in 2016 when he was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
Lowry has
271 career tackles, 16.5 sacks, and 23 forced fumbles.
