Pedri has offered Barcelona team-mate Lamine Yamal some advice ahead of his very first World Cup
this summer in the USA, Canada and Mexico.Yamal is expected to be fit in time for the tournament and will be expected to play a key role for Luis de la Fuente’s side at the competition.
It will be a second World Cup for Pedri, and he’s told his team-mate to simply enjoyed himself on the world stage.
“They should enjoy the World Cup, because it’s a unique experience that’s totally different from the other
competitions they’re used to taking part in,” he told reporters at an event.
“The whole world has its eyes glued to this tournament, an exceptional event that only happens every four years, and the chance to take part in it won’t come around often in their careers.
“Since I’ve already had the chance to play in a previous edition, my advice is to savor every moment, because no one knows which edition will be the last. And Lamine in particular—I’d advise him to have a great time with the ball.”
The Spain squad will be announced next week and is likely to feature a whole host of Barcelona star. Spain’s start their campaign against Cape Verde on June 15th.
