The Cleveland Browns found a productive tight end in rookie Harold Fannin Jr. in 2025.
A third-round selection, Fannin Jr. led the Browns with 72 receptions, a franchise record by a rookie, 731 receiving
yards, and six touchdowns.
Unfortunately for David Njoku, the club’s No. 1 tight end, the season was a struggle as he was limited to just 12 games because of a knee injury. Njoku was still able to finish second on the Browns with four touchdown receptions, fourth in receptions (33), and fourth in receiving yards (293).
Njoku is set to be a free agent this offseason, and if the Browns do not re-sign him, they are going to be in the market for a player to pair with Fannin. That is presumably part of the “critical 120 days” to rebuild the franchise, which, according to general manager Andrew Berry, will include a “heavy investment” in the offensive side of the ball.
If tight end is on Berry’s offseason to-do list, this weekend’s Senior Bowl is an opportunity to see some of the available players in action one last time. And while some of the top prospects opt to skip the game, the Browns will be there checking things out.
