- Coach: Shane Beamer (35-31, 16-25 SEC, now in his 6th season as SC head coach) heard some “FIRE BEAMER” chants last week.
- Injuries: Justin Hill and Desmond Umeozulu at the WOLF are both out after suffering injuries against Florida State. Xavier Griffin could be next man up. Running backs Daniel Hill and EJ Crowell should be “good to go.” Running back AK Dear and wide receiver Noah Rogers could make their season debuts today. They “will be available.” South Carolina star EDGE Dylan Stewart made his season debut against Mississippi State after recovering from a pre-season back injury. He was limited to 14 snaps, and his back flared up again in the fourth quarter. He is listed as probable. DT Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy suffered an injury early against MSU, playing only four snaps before being sidelined. He went from doubtful to out.
- Familiar Faces: Former Alabama LB Justin Okoronkwo is the starter at the WILL linebacker. DT Kelby Collins is part of the regular rotation and played 35 snaps vs the Bullies. Shawn Murphy is the back-up MLB but plays a fair amount (38 snaps).
- Editorial: Here again, the competition is getting tougher. The Gamecocks are coming off a heart-breaking loss and Beamer might be fighting for his job at this point. SC always seems to play Alabama tough. There is absolutely no reason to take them lightly.
- Weather: It should feel more like fall in this one with a high around 85° during the day and then dropping down into the 70s as the sun disappears in the west.
- TV Announcers Encore: Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek with Taylor McGregor on the sidelines.
- Radio: Chris Stewart, Tyler Watts, and Damian Square on Alabama Radio.
