Week 5 Sunday Night Football. Tonight we have a matchup between AFC East rivals. The 4-0 Buffalo Bills host the 2-2 New England Patriots.
The Buffalo Bills come into this game as the only remaining undefeated
team in the NFL. They have already beaten the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins by double digits this season. Now they look to make it a clean sweep of the AFC East against the Patriots in the first half of the schedule.
The Bills look like perhaps the best team in the NFL early in the season. Josh Allen has the offense humming, scoring 30+ points in every game this season, and the Bills defense has allowed just 51 points over the last three games combined. It’s going to be a very difficult task for the Patriots to keep pace with this Bills team.
The New England Patriots have been a Jekyll and Hyde team this season, alternating dominant performances with disappointing losses. In two of their games the Patriots scored 33+ points. In their other two games they scored 27 points combined. Which Patriots offense shows up tonight will likely dictate whether they can compete with the Bills juggernaut. On the road in Buffalo, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a Patriots victory.
It’s the Bills and the Patriots tonight on Sunday Night Football. Enjoy the game everybody.
