Raphinha has urged Barcelona fans not to worry ahead of the upcoming international break and says that Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti knows how to manage his minutes.
The Barcelona captain returned from the last call-up with an injury, leading to concern ahead of the next round of games which will see Brazil head to the Far East for friendlies with Singapore and Japan.
Speaking after signing his new Barcelona contract, Raphinha admits he’s still not 100% but says there’s no reason for supporters to be
concerned.
“Ancelotti, as a coach, knows he has to distribute playing time. He knows that an injury would be complicated for Brazil too, and he knows how to manage minutes,” he told a news conference.
“We’ve spoken; he knows I’m recovering from an injury. I’m fine, but not 100%. Barça fans shouldn’t worry because I’m taking good care of myself.”
Barcelona will certainly be hoping that Raphinha does not come back injured again. The Catalan fans key fixtures after the international break including a visit from Manchester City in the Champions League.
