The tenth Sunday of the 2025 NFL regular season is here! (How are we already more than halfway through?)
Let’s run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the remaining Week 10 games.
EAGLES GAME
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at GREEN BAY PACKERS: With a win, the Eagles will remain atop the NFC playoff picture at 8-2. Go Birds.
HUNT FOR THE NO. 1 SEED
Here’s a look at the current NFC playoff picture, via ESPN:
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: The Eagles can gain more cushion atop the NFC with a Bucs loss. Root for the Patriots.
ARIZONA CARDINALS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS: The Eagles can gain more cushion atop the NFC with a Seahawks loss. Root for the Cardinals.
LOS ANGELES RAMS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS: The Rams are more threatening than the 49ers. The Eagles are also rooting for Bryce Huff to get to eight sacks so that Philly will receive a 2026 fourth-round pick from San Francisco instead of a 2026 fifth-round pick. Root for the 49ers.
DETROIT LIONS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: The Commanders are already dead, so, it doesn’t matter if they win this game. The Lions are a threat to the Eagles for the No. 1 seed, especially if Detroit wins this game and then beats the Birds in Philly next weekend. Root for the Commanders.
MORE NFC PLAYOFF PICTURE INTERESTS
ATLANTA FALCONS at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS: The Falcons probably won’t win the NFC South or even be good enough to win a wild card spot. But it would be preferable if they did since it could mean a more threatening team not making the postseason. Also, Atlanta has December games against the Rams and Seahawks. For the Eagles’ sake, it would be nice if the Falcons had motivation to beat those teams. Root for the Falcons.
NEW YORK GIANTS at CHICAGO BEARS: One can make the case that the Giants winning is good because it works towards saving Brian Daboll’s job (which would be a big mistake for New York) and ruining their draft pick. But the Bears somehow stumbling into an NFC North win or even one of the wild card spots would be good if it means a more threatening team doesn’t make the playoffs. Root for the Bears.
BALTIMORE RAVENS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS: The Vikings stumbling into an NFC North win or even one of the wild card spots would be good if it means a more threatening team doesn’t make the playoffs. Also, Minnesota winning works to improve the Eagles’ strength of victory tiebreaker. Root for the Vikings.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at CAROLINA PANTHERS: The Panthers stumbling into an NFC South win or even one of the wild card spots would be good if it means a more threatening team doesn’t make the playoffs. The silver lining to a Saints win is that it helps the Eagles when it comes to the draft pick considerations category in this article. Root for the Panthers.
DRAFT PICK CONSIDERATIONS
Here’s the current 2026 NFL Draft order for non-playoff teams, via Tankathon:
CLEVELAND BROWNS at NEW YORK JETS: Thanks to last year’s Haason Reddick trade, the Eagles own the Jets’ third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The more the Jets lose, the more favorable the pick will be for the Birds. Root for the Browns.
BUFFALO BILLS at MIAMI DOLPHINS: The Eagles want the Jets to stay ahead of the Dolphins in the 2026 NFL Draft order. Root for the Dolphins.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at HOUSTON TEXANS: The Texans probably won’t move ahead of the Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft order but just to play it safe … Root for the Texans.
WHAT’S LEFT
PITTSBURGH STEELERS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS: The Eagles play the Chargers in Week 14. If the Birds beat the Bolts, they stand to benefit from LA being good as possible to help improve Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. Root for the Chargers.
