Barcelona will be without their captain and top scorer for the next two games as Raphinha has been ruled out for Saturday’s La Liga match against Getafe and Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Galatasaray.
Hansi Flick spoke at a press conference on Friday and confirmed that tests showed Raphinha has a minor muscle issue and won’t be involved in the next two games out of an abundance of caution.
“The tests show something, it’s not an injury, but we have to be careful because he had three injuries last
year, and we have to take care of him. He won’t be available tomorrow or against Galatasaray.”
Barça are taking the right course of action with their most important player as they save him for the massive three-game stretch against Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid next week, and there’s more than enough depth in attack to deal with Getafe and Galatasaray to make sure the captain is fully fit.
