Barcelona’s pre-season has kicked off this week with Hansi Flick’s side enjoying their first run out in a behind-closed-doors training game on Friday night.
Hansi Flick’s side beat Club Esportiu Europa 4-1 in a game that saw Ibrahim Diarra, Hector Fort, Ebrima Tunkara and Alex Gonzalez score.
Barca are without a host of first-teamers right now after the World Cup but will see players slowly return over the coming weeks.
Raphinha is due back next week after missing most of the World Cup with Brazil,
but Flick will have to wait until around August 12th to welcome his world champions back.
Players are entitled to 21 days off which means it will be around August 12th when the Spain contingent of Joan Garcia, Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsí, Gavi, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres are due back.
Anthony Gordon and Jules Kounde, who reached the semi-finals with England and France, will also return a day or two earlier.
Barcelona are due to fly out to England next week for a training camp and will then go on to Italy to play in a mini-tournament against Udinese and Nottingham Forest.
After that, it’s the Gamper Trophy against Al Ahly on August 19th and then a first match of the season against Elche on August 23rd.
