Word was Lady Frost’s AEW contract was expiring soon, and no one was terribly surprised to hear it wasn’t going to be renewed. In 2025, she wrestled far more outside of AEW and Ring of Honor than she did in those Tony Khan-run promotions. When Khan did book her, it was as an enhancement talent-type on Collision or in ROH.
She confirmed as much today (April 1) in a social media post where she also praised TK and her time at AEW while looking to the future:
As of today, I am a free agent. I want to thank
@TonyKhan for being an incredibly kind and passionate boss. I had some of the most incredible moments with @AEW and I am so grateful for the years that I spent there. For now, I’m on the hunt. Onto the next…
The hunt reportedly didn’t last long, either. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted this morning that “MLW immediately made a play to sign Lady Frost upon her reaching free agency and signed her”.
Much less happy about how he’s been utilized by Khan is Willie Mack. The former TNA X-Division and NWA National champion didn’t mention his boss or either of the promotions TK owns, but he did hashtag AEW’s slogan:
When ya boy is about to become a homeless superhero because the booker doesn’t think he’s worth the money. #WhereTheBestWrestle
It’s like for 2 years straight I’d call every week and ask if you got anything for me? You signed right? You still getting paid right? I want to Wrestle.
Mack had occasional ROH matches last year, but like Frost wrestled more away from the company he’s signed to. In responses to his tweets, Willie said he was still signed and that he was not an a per-appearance deal.
The place Mack’s wrestled the most this year is Juggalo Championship Wrestling, where he holds Tag team gold with 2 Tuff Tony. JCW is booked by Vince Russo, and TK just revealed he’s a fan of the infamous Attitude Era booker’s work for Violent J…
Maybe that will work in Willie Mack’s favor here? Russo says he’s down to collaborate, bro!
Lots to consider… let us know what you make of it down below in the comments, or maybe in a Feed post of your own?
