Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are set to meet in the ring this weekend in a rematch of their hard-fought battle back in April, where Eubank Jr would take unanimous decision. Eubank’s trainer Brian McIntyre
expects to see more of the same in this sequel, telling ESPN that he expects to see an improved version of Eubank on the night.
“I think he’s [Benn] already beat. He’s already beat,” McIntyre said. “I think, personally, he might be in it for the money. I’m sure they’re making good money for it. After what Chris done to him all the way up until now, some fighters can’t come back from that. We’ll see though.”
McIntyre would explain how he wasn’t available for Eubank in the lead up to his first match with Benn due to his obligations with Keyshawn Davis who was heading into his first title defense at the time, but that he jumped at this opportunity to participate in the rematch.
Under McIntyre’s guidance and considering he anticipates a tightened up version of Eubank, he obviously expects to see a clean win for Eubank this Saturday, but Benn himself will be looking to show up in improved form to secure a win over his hated rival.
