Penn State might be winless in the Big Ten and is currently led by an interim head coach after parting ways with James Franklin, but that doesn’t mean Indiana fans aren’t taking the Nittany Lions seriously.
Asked if Penn State is still a dangerous opponent despite the coaching change, a strong majority of Indiana fans responded that the Nittany Lions are still a threat on Saturday:
Penn State began the 2025 season with a senior quarterback, new defensive coordinator poached from national champion Ohio State, and plenty of talent across the roster with the goal of getting even further in the College Football Playoff after falling just short of a rematch against the Buckeyes in the national championship.
Instead, the Nittany Lions have disappointed. A white-out loss to Oregon was the beginning of the end as Penn State couldn’t find another win in conference play, ultimately leading to the dismissal of Franklin.
This is still a very, very talented Penn State roster that shouldn’t be underestimated. The Nittany Lions have put up a solid fight in each of their games.
