One thing that’s become clear to me is that president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta is the architect; the front office hires he’s made are the contractors. Think theory and application.
So far, DePodesta has done much of the talking, which, to be clear, is appropriate.
However, earlier this week, Tanous appeared on The Drew Goodman Podcast, and it’s worth your time to listen to their conversation.
Tonight, then, I’ll start by making a recommendation: Listen to the podcast — the last half is all you need — and let us know what you think.
Reader, I am intrigued.
