BYU Football’s got its biggest game yet slated for Saturday evening with the second-ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame coming to LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Both the BYU Cougars and Notre Dame are undefeated, with Notre Dame having a 6-0 record to BYU’s 5-0. Notre Dame is, of course, Independent, while BYU has a 3-0 record in the Big 12.
BYU last played on Fri. night in Provo against the Iowa State Cyclones, winning by a final score of 24-10. Notre Dame played last Sat. afternoon in South Bend, walloping
Stanford by a final score of 58-7.
Saturday will be the tenth time BYU and Notre Dame have met on the gridiron. Notre Dame has the 7-2 series edge. It’s the third matchup in Provo, with BYU being 1-1 with the home field advantage.
BYU vs. Notre Dame will be the first top-ten matchup played at LaVell Edwards Stadium and the second top-ten game BYU’s been a part of, with the other being against Texas Tech last year while BYU was no. 8 and Texas Tech was no. 9.
