Even though CMLL opened the Forbidden Door to talent from AEW, ROH, and MLW into Arena Mexico on Friday night (June 5, 2026), the more important story is that Mistico is back from injury.
Mistico was out for a few weeks due to a leg injury. He didn’t miss a beat upon his return. El Rey de Plata y Oro led Sky Team partners Mascara Dorada and Neon to victory over Zandokan Jr., Difunto, and Furia Roja in the main event. Mistico ate the pin in the first fall on a four-way dropkick from his opponents and Zacarias
el Perico. Mistico rallied in the second fall, and his teammates scored pins off springboard dives. Mistico took home the win in the third fall with his signature armbar on Difunto.
The ROH tag team champions went down in defeat in trios action. A reminder in case you forgot, Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos hold the gold. They teamed with Black Tiger against Villano III Jr., Hijo del Villano III, and Barbaro Cavernario. After winning the Copa Jr. last week, Villano III Jr. kept his momentum rolling by pinning Mortos. Villano III Jr. blitzed Mortos in the end with a springboard crucifix driver and an Arabian Press moonsault. Upon victory, the Villano brothers want a tag title shot, and Sammy accepted the challenge. This result makes sense given the current visa issues for Mortos. Beast has been unable to work in ROH recently, and Tony Khan said that he wanted the champs to defend in Mexico.
Another AEW wrestler with visa issues is Komander. He went to work against Soberano Jr. for a banger. Soberano kicked out of Komander’s Cielito Lindo rope-walking shooting star press, then he rallied to win via piledriver.
Lady Frost, who is signed to MLW, led Dark Silueta and Keyra to a trios win over Lluvia, Kira, and Garra Negra. Frost pinned Garra Negra off a cartwheel into a spinning piledriver.
