Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer said that Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen could possibly receive contract extensions, which will be discussed during the supervisory board meeting coming later this month.
“We are very satisfied with the work of the executive board,” Hainer said via Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “Hopefully, that will also be reflected in the decisions that are made.”
The Bayern subplot for the preseason has always been Eberl’s future.
When the summer transfer window began, Eberl was given the task of selling players the club no longer wants along with making the right signings. So far, he only has three players left to move on, which is proving to be a bit tricky. Early reports said that the 52-year-old was going to get the sack if he failed to balance the books, but later reports said the supervisory board was satisfied with his work regardless of said players being kept.
