The Falcons completed their 2026 NFL Draft class on Saturday, winding up with six total picks. Atlanta general manager Ian Cunningham made quite the first impression with his Day 2 selections, and pulled off a trade down for an additional late pick on Day 3. Despite the lack of a first-round selection due to the James Pearce Jr. trade, Atlanta’s draft class has typically been well regarded by draft evaluators across the NFL.
Separate from the analysts, I also wanted to know how Falcons fans felt about
the new brain trust’s first NFL Draft. Following the draft on Saturday evening, we asked you all how you would grade Atlanta’s 2026 NFL Draft. Let’s take a look at the results.
Falcons fans give high marks to Ian Cunningham’s first draft, with an overwhelming 58% giving the draft a “B”. The next highest grade was “A” with 28%, followed by “C” and 13%. Only 1% gave a grade of “D” or lower. That’s an excellent start for this team, particularly since they started with only five picks in this class.
I would, personally, also give the draft a B+. The Falcons got outstanding value with both of their Day 2 selections, as Avieon Terrell was arguably the steal of the second round and Zachariah Branch was also a strong value. Day 3 had a lot more variance, which is common for pretty much all teams, but I like the players and positions they added even if I’m not overly familiar with the prospects themselves.
