Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler helped Türkiye see out another win in their FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with a 4-1 triumph over Georgia on Tuesday night.
Güler did not register any goal or assist this time around — having put three in the tally in Türkiye’s win over Bulgaria just three days ago — but he was involved a fair bit.
Güler’s best chance of the night came in the first half, where he could have easily made it a four-goal lead for Türkiye. He won the ball close to Georgia’s box, combined well
with his teammate, only to sky his shot after being one-on-one against the goalkeeper.
In the 68 minutes he played, Güler had one shot, one dribble, one key pass, one cross, one long ball completed, and 30 passes with an 80% accuracy. He also won two aerial duels and was fouled five times.
It was not the best game from Güler, but he did manage to stay fit throughout, after being replaced in the 68th minute. That is very good news for Real Madrid, who have already seen a few good players fall to injuries in the international break.
