Former UConn Huskies tight end Louis Hansen signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Houston Texans on Wednesday. After participating in the team’s 2026 rookie minicamp, the Massachusetts native will now have the opportunity to fight for a roster spot.
Before transferring to Connecticut, Hansen spent two seasons with the Michigan Wolverines (2021-2022), but played in only three games. In three years as a Husky, the tight end hauled in 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns.
At UConn’s
2026 Pro Day, the 24-year-old highlighted his versatile skills. The former nationally ranked top-10 tight end and four-star recruit is seen as a well-rounded tight end who is a strong run blocker with reliable hands.
