Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson came face-to-face ahead of their championship title fight on Jan. 31 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Lopez will be defending his Ring and WBO junior welterweight titles against Stevenson, who currently holds the WBC lightweight strap.

“Every fight is a different version of me,” Lopez said during their kickoff press conference in New York (embedded above). “I love it because even the people don’t know what they are going to get from me. That’s the beauty about it. [Stevenson is] not going to know until we fight.”
“It won’t be the type of fight he had against Vasiliy Lomachenko or Josh Taylor,” Stevenson replied. “That was the best he could do. I don’t think he can do anything better than that. I am way better than those guys. I didn’t see Lomachenko throw punches for six rounds. I would have beaten Lomachenko that night easily, too. That’s how I feel.”
