On Monday afternoon, the ACC announced kick times and TV coverage for games played November 22nd.
And for your Hurricanes, coming off the home finale for Senior Day against the North Carolina State Wolfpack,
that means a trip to Blacksburg to play the Virginia Tech Hokies. But when exactly will that game be played? We’ll find out late Saturday or Sunday.
A quick reminder: conferences can invoke the 6-day hold provision to delay their decision on game times and TV coverage to ensure the best games get the best slots for visibility. Miami has been the subject of 6 day holds in the past, and just once this season ahead of the week 10 game at SMU.
Previously, Miami was a no brainer choice for every available primetime TV slot. 6 of Miami’s first 7 games were played in Primetime. But that’s when Miami was playing well and ranked highly.
So, we’ll have to wait until after this week’s NC State game (and likely many others later) to know when next week’s Virginia Tech game will be played. No problem. We’ll focus on the game in front of us and worry about the rest later.
