Inoue vs. Picasso took place Dec. 27 at Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Noaya Inoue (32-0) and David Picasso (32-1-1) squared off in the the main event clash. The fight aired live on DAZN.
The undefeated Inoue put on another virtuoso performance, battering a game Picasso for 12 rounds en route to a unanimous decision win (117-111, 119-109, 120-108). With the win, Inoue recorded
his seventh straight super bantamweight title defense, and is now 27-0 in championship bouts.
Up next for the Japanese superstar, he likely faces countryman Junto Nakatani (32-0), who survived a scare to win a decision over Sebastian Hernandez in the co-main event. However, Inoue also said he was open to fighting super flyweight champion Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez (23-0) if Rodriguez is interested in moving up into his division.
