The League Championship Series are set: the Los Angeles Dodgers will face the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League, and the Seattle Mariners will take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League. Today, things kick off north of the border.
The Blue Jays dismantled the New York Yankees in four games, while the Mariners fought tooth and nail against the Detroit Tigers to finish the series in dramatic fashion late on Friday night.
Right-hander Bryce Miller (4-6, 5.68 ERA) will take the mound for
the Mariners. He made his MLB Postseason debut in Game 4 of the ALDS, pitching 4 1/3 innings and allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts in the eventual 9-3 Tigers’ victory.
Colorado’s own Kevin Gausman (10-11, 3.59 ERA) will take the ball for the Jays. The veteran right-hander from Grandview High School started Game 1 of the ALDS, allowing just one run on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts in the 10-1 Jays’ victory.
First pitch is at 6:03pm MT on FOX.
