Good morning, Broncos Country. A few weeks from now, NFL coaches, scouts, and general managers will have their sets sight on the 2026 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of the premier events of the pre-draft circuit, the league’s annual even is the premier hotbed for potential deals and transactions that will play out during free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
Speaking of the draft, NFL.com recently reviewed of every team’s rookie class from 2025. It’s truly hard to judge a draft class so early,
but it’s common offseason content across the media landscape. With that in mind, Gennaro Fillice wasn’t too impressed with what Denver’s rookie class accomplished in their first season in the Mile High City.
The Broncos’ class ranked 23rd league-wide with a C+ grade given for their efforts. Punter Jeremy Crawshaw and RJ Harvey’s contributions were highlighted, but it appears Denver’s low ranking is mostly due to a few factors. First-round defensive back Jahdae Barron not making a huge impact played a role in the downgrade. Additionally, Que Robinson and Sai’vion Jones not earning much playing time as third and fourth round picks may have contributed.
Even with their low ranking, I am still very optimistic about the potential of the ’25 class. I’m expecting some big leaps forward for a lot of those players in Year 2. Moreover, believe a handful of them will be quality starters for the team in time. Though I am hopeful Denver will get more immediate impact from this year’s incoming class.
The Broncos currently have seven selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. It appears likely they will receive a few more late Day 3 compensatory selections as well. Five of their selections are in the top four rounds. That provides them with plenty of opportunity and flexibility to bolster their roster in April.
What do you think, Broncos Country? Is that a fair grade for Denver’s ‘25 rookie class? Do you believe this year’s class needs to have more of an impact? Feel free to sound off in the comments section and let me know what you think.
As always, thank you for reading. Here is today’s slate of article for Horse Tracks.
