Georgia boss Willy Sagnol was full of praise for Pedri after seeing the Barcelona star shine once again for Spain in World Cup qualifying.
Spain ran out 2-0 winners in Elche on Saturday night and Sagnol
spoke about the Barcelona midfielder after the game.
“They’re playing on a different planet. We can give our best and do whatever we can, but when Spain plays the way they know how, we have to accept it. They play a different kind of football, at a very high level,” he told reporters.
“We could talk about Spain all night long. What we saw is the consequence of what Spanish football has done in the last twenty or twenty-five years.
“They’ve started to produce very intelligent players. If you look at Pedri, he’s so light he could be blown away if it’s windy, but he’s one of the best midfielders in the world because he’s very clever and always puts the team first.”
Pedri and Spain are back in action on Tuesday when they face Bulgaria in World Cup qualifying.
