Fans of the Seattle Seahawks entered the season with elevated expectations for the team in the second season under head coach Mike Macdonald, and through the first few weeks of the season, the team lived up to those expectations.
However, as is so often the case in the NFL, injuries reared their ugly head, contributing in a material way to a Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. Now, in Week 6 the Seahawks will take on another Florida foe, this time making a cross-country road trip to take on the Jacksonville
Jaguars, who currently lead the AFC South at 4-1 under rookie head coach Liam Coen.
And, once again injuries could trip up the team, with three regular starters in the secondary out for the matchup against the Jags.
So, the full list of inactives for the Seahawks is:
- TE Nick Kallerup
- OL Josh Jones
- LB Derick Hall
- CB Devon Witherspoon
- CB Riq Woolen
- S Julian Love
- QB Jalen Milroe (will serve as emergency 3rd QB)
Milroe can only enter the game if both Sam Darnold and Drew Lock are hurt, and if Milroe does enter the game then neither Darnold nor Lock can return. This is the second time Milroe has been designated as the emergency third QB, having previously done the same against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
