Barcelona Atletic midfielder Ibrahim Diarra is closing in on a return to fitness after picking up an injury in pre-season.
Diarra had been tipped to join the first-team squad on their pre-season tour of Asia but was ruled out with a muscle tear in what was a real blow.
However, he was back at the Ciutat Esportiva on Tuesday to work alone as he steps up his recovery from the injury.
The hope is that Diarra will be able to return to action soon and go on to make his first appearance of the season with
Juliano Belletti’s Barcelona Atletic side.
Hansi Flick will surely be watching his progress as well. The midfielder has been tipped to break into the first-team at Barcelona and will be hoping for opportunities in 2025-26.
Diarra caught the eye as part of the UEFA Youth League winning team, scoring in the final, and is certainly one to watch out for at Barcelona.
