China’s Yizha put a hurting on Westin Wilson earlier this morning (Sat., Aug. 23, 2025) at UFC Shanghai LIVE on ESPN+ from inside the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China, after delivering a brutal knockout finish just 37 seconds into the first round.
Yizha entered Saturday’s “Prelims” affair as the biggest betting favorite on the card at nearly -1200. The featherweight prospect was hoping to make a big statement after losing his UFC debut back in Sept. 2024 so it was important he ended Wilson
in quick fashion. Yizha is more known for his submission skills, but he has power in his hands and proved it at UFC Shanghai.
The 145-pound contest started out pretty fast as both fighters looked to get going. There was a noticeable height and reach advantage in favor of Wilson, but that didn’t mean he was going to lead the way. In fact, it took Yizha little to no time to close the distance and score a big punch inside. Wilson was hurt and that’s when Yizha moved in again for a huge left hook that slumped Wilson along the fence and forced the referee’s hand.
