Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane was pleased with the way his team powered their way back in the game against SC Freiburg. After going down twice in the first half, the Bavarians turned it around big time to put six goals in the Freiburg net and hand another opponent a big defeat. Next is an important game against Kane’s former rivals and the striker is pumped for it.
A sloppy start followed by a tremendous reaction
The Bayern side were caught snoozing by an energetic opponent who looked to exploit the table leaders after the international break. However,
Bayern put to rest several worries with their reaction. The attack after some rest looks the most lethal in Europe once again. The second half specifically saw Bayern pull no punches as they turned a poor start into a comfortable win.
“The first 20 minutes weren’t good from us, but then we showed character,” Kane summarized after the match in remarks captured by @iMiaSanMia. “The goal to take the lead shortly after halftime obviously helped us. We came out with significantly more energy in the second half. We did really well both with and without the ball and showed the true face of FC Bayern. It was a really good win.”
Back to London to take the Gunners on
Harry Kane will be returning to North London in the week ahead. His team will be going up against another top performer in the Champions League this season — Arsenal, his former rival from his Tottenham Hotspur days, and an opponent Kane is all too familiar with.
Both teams have won all of their four fixtures so far and in a stylish fashion. Mikel Arteta and Vincent Kompany have cooked with their respective squads. Expect plenty of fluid football and an entertaining clash of two of the best teams at the moment.
“Arsenal is a team that makes it difficult for their opponents. But we have to analyze them and find out where we can hurt them,” Kane added.
