Bayern Munich and Adidas will be teaming up to be launching another special Oktoberfest kit in the new season. The fans have lapped up these special kits which have stuck to traditional Bavarian clothing colors. The lederhosen, the pastures where the fests are usually held have been sources for the themes of past kits.
Continuing with that tradition, Bayern Munich’s new Wiesn kit will be featuring a trio of colors from the past kits and the combination seems to go well together. Per a report by Footy
Headlines (via @iMiaSanMia), the colors in the upcoming Oktoberfest kit will include a dark greyish brown, muted dark green together with pale gold details.
The designs of the Oktoberfest kits in the past have included one major primary color of the kit coupled with details in one or two colors. While the leaked colors do seem to go well together, the darker two will most likely be separated by the pale gold to allow a distinguishable design. Having said that, unlike in the leaked pictures, Bayern would be going with the special Oktoberfest emblem. It has to be said that Bayern and Adidas have paid more attention and handled these kits with more care than they do the home kits.
The latest Oktoberfest kit was a limited edition that was celebrating the club’s 125th anniversary and the festival being held for the 190th time. With a beautiful reworking of the crest with an elegant design on the sleeve cuffs, this is my favorite Wiesn jersey. Let us know which Oktoberfest kit is your favorite and what you think of the new colors in the comments.
