Your Oregon Ducks flew south to take on the #4 UCLA Bruins at Wallis Annenberg Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, looking to end a three-game slide.
Oregon generated a handful of chances in the first half, including a close header from Lauren Kenny, but couldn’t find the back of the net. After a scoreless first half from both sides, the Bruins would break through on two penalty kicks, in the 58th and 75th minutes of the contest, and propel UCLA to a 2-0 win, as the Oregon losing streak
reached four games.
Ultimately, UCLA was the more aggressive squad, outshooting the Ducks 12–3 and limiting them to just one shot on goal. Bruins goalkeepers Daphne Nakfoor and Mariangela Medina combined on the clean sheet, while Ducks goalkeeper Caeley Goldstein finished the match with two saves, and Gia Kiesling finished with one.
The Ducks next match will be at home against Illinois, on September 18th.
