The Golden State Warriors wrap up this brief road trip with a Saturday night matchup against the Indiana Pacers. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM PT in Indianapolis and can be watched on NBA TV and NBC
Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State’s two-game winning streak came to an end Thursday night with a 120–110 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was a late scratch in this one, turning what should’ve been a favorable matchup for the Warriors into a letdown game against an undermanned team.
Although Stephen Curry led Golden State with 27 points, it was former Warrior Ryan Rollins who stole the show — scoring a career-high 32 points against the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft. Afterward, Rollins reflected on what it meant to deliver that kind of performance against his former team, and especially Curry, who was his locker room neighbor during his rookie season.
What to watch for tonight:
Saturday’s contest marks the Warriors’ seventh game in the past 11 days — a grueling stretch that’s already featured two back-to-backs within the first week of the season. Head coach Steve Kerr admitted that the group is showing signs of “mental and physical fatigue” after the demanding start to the season.
The Warriors do get an extra day of rest after tonight’s game, but will have to play another back-to-back next Tuesday and Wednesday. How they manage their energy — and whether the bench can step up to ease the load on Curry and the starters — will be key against an injury-riddled Pacers team that is 0-5 to start the season.
